CBRE|Heery is seeking a Commissioning Agent to join their team in Fort Lauderdale.
This position is to provide Commissioning Services for a district wide school program involving over 200 schools. Commissioning is a part of CBRE|Heery Program Management services for the school district. This is a fast paced project with high visibility.
The primary role for this position will be Construction Phase Commissioning with an emphasis on performing site verification and testing.
- Verifies design documents, equipment submittals and measured performance are consistent with the specifications and client's operation requirements.
- Reviews designs, submittals, and O&Ms
- Reviews construction related design documents, drawings and specifications for approval.
- Supports project team by delivering building commissioning services that require application of standard techniques for a multiple school projects simultaneously.
- Performs onsite observations relating to installation of building systems; prepares associated documentation for approval.
- Inspects installation in the field and witness functional testing on site.
- Documents process in formal reports.
- Performs on-site inspection, testing, validation and verification of building system for small projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years experience which may include commissioning, design, Test and Balance or specific construction trade experience.
- Bachelor's Degree or technical college preferred but not required
- Works within a project team and will be assigned projects of varying levels of complexity. Scope of commissioning will be HVAC renovation projects.
- Need to be able to demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills. Must have ability to work well with contractors while maintaining objectivity.
- Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations.
