Position Overview:

The Analyst role will be based in Boston and includes responsibility for financial analysis and investor reporting functions, supporting senior investment professionals in executing real estate credit transactions and other real estate investments, and in monitoring the performance of such investments.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supporting residential condominium sales efforts, including without limitation, preparing regular sales reports, maintaining in-house pricing models and sales records,
  • Supporting the operations planning effort for the upcoming delivery of newly constructed residential condominium towers, including without limitation, developing and maintaining operations budget, FF&E budget, etc.,
  • Performing financial analysis in relation to principal multi-family investments,
  • Performing due diligence, including analysis of entitlements and environmental issues, construction budgets and schedules, financial projections and appraisals,
  • Developing cash flow models and valuation analyses for real estate credit and principal investments,
  • Contributing to the preparation of offering documents and underwriting memos,
  • Assisting in the review of credit agreements and other transaction documents; facilitating pre- and post-closing transaction processes, coordinating with legal counsel, appraisers, auditors, consultants and other deal service providers,
  • Managing the review of loan funding requests in coordination with construction consultants, loan servicers and other service providers,
  • Assisting in the monitoring of the existing assets performance and the compliance of borrowers with the terms of credit agreements,
  • Maintaining financial projections for individual assets; analyzing management accounts and financial statements and reporting on variances, and
  • Contributing to the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports to investors.

 

Qualifications:

  • Strong academic credentials from a top-tier institution,
  • 2-4 years’ experience in real estate development, acquisitions or underwriting and restructuring real estate credit,
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting; strong analytical/modeling skills,
  • Exceptional business writing skills, experience in legal drafting a definite plus, and
  • Strong work ethic and highest ethical standards.
