Economic Resources Corporation is seeking an innovative, inspiring, and business savvy leader to be its next President/CEO. This is a unique opportunity to be at the helm of a self-supporting organization with a 50-year history of creating new jobs, higher incomes, and entrepreneurial opportunities in underserved Los Angeles communities. The President/CEO is responsible for providing strategic and managerial leadership for the company, and will carry out this responsibility by working with the Board and management staff in establishing long-range goals in support of the company's values and non-profit economic development mission. The President/CEO is also responsible for overseeing all company operations, creating and maintaining a corporate vision and culture consistent with the company's mission and business model, and executing the operating plan through the supervision of subordinate management. This is an exciting opportunity for the right executive to help ERC become a regional leader in not-for-profit real estate investing, expand ERC's footprint, and clearly impact the economic viability of the communities that ERC invests in. Key responsibilities will include:
  • Lead the Corporation with a clearly defined sense of business direction, purpose, and mission
  • Create, plan, implement and integrate the strategic direction of the company
  • Develop and implement a well-defined operating strategy to advance the company's mission and objectives and maintain its economic sustainability
  • Oversee all operations of the organization in accordance with the established strategic plan and corporate values
  • Establish, monitor, and maintain appropriate management systems to provide for the effective control of operations and minimize risks
  • Provide adequate and timely information to the Board of Directors to enable it to effectively execute its oversight role
  • Coordinate with the Board of Directors in developing the policies and procedures required to provide appropriate direction to the organization
  • Assist the Board of Directors in the selection and transition of successor executive management
  • Develop and maintain relationships with other organizations, industries, and government officials that are in the best interest of the company
