JOB SUMMARY


Responsible for supporting a loan production team by preparing underwriting templates/financial analysis, creating loan request packages, and helping manage due diligence process. Knowledgeable on fundamental concepts, practices and procedures associated with commercial real estate finance specific to office, industrial & retail properties, including commercial appraising, market analysis, and investment analysis.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Performs underwriting duties such as lease abstracts, building financial models through ARGUS, and extracting market data to help support leasing and operating expense assumptions. Builds loan request packages to be delivered to lenders in conjunction with financing marketing campaigns. Serves as liaison with clients and lenders by assisting with delivery of due diligence materials, market research, and lender documents. Develops relationships with CBRE investment sales, leasing, valuation, research and property management teams

Coordinates due diligence process which includes management of third party reports (appraisals, zoning reports, surveys, etc.) in order to successfully close loan transactions with producer. Manages transaction pipeline through proprietary database.

Gathers data on local, regional, and national commercial real estate markets by researching a variety of sources including, but not limited to industry, regulatory and economic information, financial periodicals and newspapers, mortgage and lease documents, demographic date, property information and company records.

Organizes, evaluates, interprets and summarizes data for reports. Prepares a variety of analyses, statements and reports for management review; arranges for preparation of graphics or illustrations to include with research findings.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE


Bachelor s degree (BA or BS) from a four-year college or university; previous mortgage banking experience preferred. Course work or commensurate experience with fundamentals of real estate finance, basic appraisal principals, market analysis and accounting.


COMMUNICATION SKILLS


Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information. Must have strong writing skills to assist in preparing client communications and loan request narratives.


FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE


Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Must be able to thoroughly abstract commercial leases and interpret/consolidate operating statements to build pro forma cash flow models.


REASONING ABILITY


Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.


OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES

Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite products including: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc. Experience building ARGUS DCF and Enterprise models necessary. InDesign Experience preferred but not required for creation of loan requests and proposals.
