KINGBIRD INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT

KIM is a family office based out of San Juan, Puerto Rico and Boston, MA. KIM uses a data and research driven approach to invest in equity interests in real estate assets located in secondary and tertiary domestic markets as well as in growing Latin American markets.

JOB SUMMARY

The Investment Analyst is responsible for assisting in the underwriting of potential investment opportunities. In conjunction with the Director of Investments, the analyst will prepare underwriting materials including models and economic analyses of potential investments and materials for Investment Committee.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Underwriting
• Financial modeling in excel and occasionally Argus
• Prepare Investment Committee presentations.
• Maintain contacts and relationships with potential deal sources including brokers, owners, and developers.
• Prepare materials to present to Kingbird’s Investment Committee. 
• Gain intimate knowledge of target markets to be able to capitalize on specific opportunities.
• Conduct due diligence activities involving lease analysis and assessing market competitors.
• Contribute to a positive and rewarding culture, promoting an environment of collaboration and team work.
• Support the Director of Investments in other functions as deemed necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or similar preferred
• MBA or MsRED preferred
• 3 to 6 years of transaction related experience
