Real Estate Analyst

Geneva Street Partners Company, LLC is the parent company of both Geneva Street Development Partners (GSDP) which develops apartments primarily in Southern California and single tenant NNN assets nationwide, and Geneva Street Capital Partners (GSCP) which is a fiduciary fund manager investing in mezzanine and preferred equity real estate opportunities throughout the Western United States. Based in Los Angeles (Century City), the Analyst position enables the associate to support the Geneva team with a variety of responsibilities.  This role presents a broad range of real estate opportunities including: reviewing and presenting acquisition, development and investment opportunities to management; conducting due diligence; participating in asset management functions, including the preparation of quarterly asset management presentations; supporting closings and strategy presentations; working with outside consultants, construction lenders, and counsel. This position offers the potential to grow rapidly and to become one of the leaders in the company as it expands its development, acquisition, and investment platform.

Responsibilities include:

• Investment Research: Initial analysis of new real estate acquisition, development and investment opportunities, including cash flow modeling of current and stabilized economics, proposed capital budgets, leasing plans, and final disposition strategy.
• Due Diligence: Comprehensive due diligence of proposed real estate development and investment transactions, including research of market and submarket fundamentals, review of leases and additional closing documents, and writing recommendations for final investment committee presentation.
• Asset Management: Support asset management functions with existing portfolio investments, including assistance with transaction due diligence and closing processes, facilitating approval of draw requests and capital call notices, review of monthly reporting packages, and preparation of quarterly asset management presentations.
• Assist management in preparation of presentation materials for investors, lenders, and partners.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Minimum one year of experience in real estate finance, finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, or computer science.  Real estate experience a plus.
• Financial Modeling skills in Excel, including the ability to model multi-tiered waterfall structures, sensitivity tables, and scenario analysis. Working knowledge with ARGUS also considered.
• Skilled in working with most current Adobe software
• Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills. 
• Versatility in working in the disciplines of finance, research, acquisitions, asset management, and marketing.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to work both independently and within a small team.
