Position Summary:

 

Willard Retail is seeking a Development and Investment Analyst to screen and underwrite acquisition opportunities, manage development activities, assist in asset dispositions and recapitalizations, and evaluate strategic investment initiatives within the Willard Retail portfolio. 

 

In this position, you will be an integral member of our team, supporting the company with underwriting and evaluating acquisition and development opportunities.  Successful candidates should be entrepreneurial with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a variety of teams.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Underwriting new investments and managing the associated due diligence process
  • Preparing and presenting investment memoranda for Investment Committee
  • Conducting financial analyses to evaluate internal investment opportunities including development, repositioning and value-add opportunities within existing portfolio
  • Coordinating with asset management and development teams to ensure successful execution of investment strategy
  • Conducting market analysis and research
  • Managing monthly development capital calls with internal and external partners
  • Conducting quarterly internal valuations to refine business plans and optimize financial performance of existing portfolio
  • Coordinating disposition processes for the sale or recapitalization of assets
  • Working with team members to negotiate letters of intent, purchase and sale agreements, joint venture agreements and other legal documents with third parties

 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree with 1-3 years of experience in Real Estate Private Equity, Investment Banking, or Investment Sales
  • Exceptional academic records
  • Superior financial skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong sense of personal motivation, responsibility, and entrepreneurship
