(NYSE: CDR) is a fully-integrated real estate investment trust which focuses on the ownership and operation of primarily grocery-anchored shopping centers straddling the Washington DC to Boston corridor. The Company’s portfolio is comprised of 61 properties with approximately 9.1 million square feet of gross leasable area.

Summary:

Cedar currently has an outstanding career opportunity for a Marketing and Investor Relations Manager to work in the Operations group. This position is responsible for the development of company-wide and property level marketing and investor relations programs and policies which enhance the Company's brand. The Marketing and IR Manager will report to the Chief Operating Officer and also work directly with the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer. This position will be located in our Port Washington, NY office.

 

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization's marketing and investor relations function to help enhance the Company brand and profile
  • Manage the marketing strategy and execution for retail and mixed use portfolio to ensure the performance and financial goals are met and exceeded
  • Develop and implement strategic, results-oriented investor relations programs that increase the company’s profile with investors, including investor roadshows, press releases, and  quarterly conference calls. Respond to investor inquiries and prepare all final presentations and materials for investors
  • Assess company, peer group, and industry factors to develop materials for quarterly reporting and special announcements, including key messages, conference call scripts, Q&As, press releases, and briefing information
  • Ensures that company's presentations, materials, website and interactions reflect the company's strategies
  • Oversee Public Relations for the Company and interface with Corporate PR firm
  • Partner with external vendors to implement creative marketing and advertising strategies that adhere to budgeted guidelines, for internet, print, signage, and events. Ensure the appropriate marketing techniques are used based on market conditions
  • Coordinate property level broker events with operations and leasing team
  • Organize marketing events for mixed use projects and community engagement
  • Develop all marketing campaigns including creation of marketing materials, flyers, brochures, e-blasts, and promotional items
  • Manage Company website, ensuring all material is up to date. Use SEO and Google analytics to make recommendations for improvements
  • Manage corporate and property-level social media sites including Twitter, LinkedIn, and all online postings
  • Conduct periodic quality control checks - website audits, social and reputation audits and provides recommendations
  • Produce quarterly property newsletters and assist with corporate press releases

     

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Real Estate Marketing required, with retail/mixed use experience preferred. In addition, must have investor relations experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Media Studies, or equivalent required.
  • Expertise in working in urban environments/markets a plus.
  • Strong understanding of marketing fundamentals such as branding, display and search advertising, email marketing, social media, reputation management, signage, outreach and event marketing.
  • Demonstrated search engine marketing experience including search engine optimization, and Google Analytics.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy required.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with individuals at all levels of responsibility.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform in a busy, changing, multi-tasking work environment.
  • Strong internet, mobile and social media aptitude.
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Basic knowledge of WordPress.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word.
  • Ability to travel, occasionally overnight, required.
