Job Description:


Process all lender consent items from initial contact with borrower through close out of the transaction for the entire Newmark Knight Frank servicing portfolio of GSE, CMBS, and Life Company loans in accordance with policies & procedures, industry standards and servicing agreements. This includes all loans originated by Newmark Knight Frank and held in warehouse, for securitization and those already sold or securitized.  

 

Essential Job Duties:

  • Administer lender consent requests including, but not limited to, transfers of ownership, partial releases, management changes, collateral exchanges, modifications, and waivers, in accordance with applicable loan documents and servicing agreements
  • Measure any potential risk in transaction and minimize or mitigate exposure
  • Manage borrower’s expectations and work with originators/UW to ensure internal customer service standards are met
  • Manage process and effectively communicate between all parties involved in transaction, including borrower, attorneys, Master Servicers, and Special Servicers
  • Ensure all transactions are completed on-time pursuant to investor guidelines and/or loan documents

Other Potential Responsibilities:

  • Monthly reporting to senior management
  • Manage work flow for consents internally
  • Manage work flow to outside counsel
  • Review and execute documents as appropriate in accordance with approved delegated authority
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills, Education and Experience: 

  • College degree or academic achievement in Real Estate, Law, Finance, Management, Journalism or Communication/Rhetoric
  • Minimum 5+ years commercial or multifamily loan asset management experience, preferably in processing borrower consent requests within the Freddie Mac K-Deal and CMBS space.
  • Prefer prior experience with Enterprise servicing platform
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills (underwriting/excel modeling, property operations, borrower financials and market performance)
  • Disciplined approach to diligent follow up through use of manual or automated tickler system
  • Strong PC skills, including a demonstrated strong proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • CRE/GSE Underwriting and/or Special Servicing workout experience a plus
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 10-20%
