About the Position

Calling all thought leaders, innovators, and outside the box thinkers.  Help us reimagine and disrupt the traditional multifamily property management status quo by working to create a true next generation multifamily property management company that incorporates the latest concepts, innovations and technologies in financial reporting + data analytics, leasing & marketing, customer service, social media, space planning + design, community outreach, and more.   We are looking for an energetic, creative, hardworking and fun individual with both property and corporate level multifamily property management experience to share our vision to build a property management company for the modern era.  The venture will be seeded with properties from the parent company’s current portfolio with an emphasis on a quick transition and expansion of the third-party business.  This position will initially serve as the regional property manager for a select number of Company owned assets while developing a longer term business plan.  The position will be based in Stamford, CT and will begin with a regional portfolio of properties based in the eastern half of the United States.        

 

Primary Responsibilities and Objectives

  • Act as regional property manager overseeing the Company’s existing portfolio, while expanding the platform with the management of additional Company properties and implementing a third party property management business. 
  • Work jointly with company Principals to set the vision, develop best practices and procedures, author corporate handbooks, build the support team and be the point person on implementation and roll out of the business.  
  • Oversee day to day operations of the Company.
  • Create annual budgets, oversee and manage property management business P&L to meet performance goals.
  • Identify new potential third party business relationships and pitch new business together with company Principals.
  • Interview and hire new team members.
  • Identify leading edge technologies, trends, processes, etc. to be implemented into best practices.
  • Oversee required monthly, quarterly and annual reporting of the portfolio to the Company’s management team, investors, and lenders.
  • Assist in due diligence and underwriting of potential new acquisitions.
  • Develop and foster relationships with key clients, industry and trade associations, government representatives, public service organizations, customer groups and vendors as necessary in the overall management of the portfolio

 

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

  • A Bachelor of Arts or Science from a recognized four-year college or university. 
  • Advanced degrees and certificates, including MBA, CAPS, CPM, NCP-E, etc. are a plus.
  • 7+ years of multifamily property management experience including prior roles both on-site and at corporate levels preferably with a nationally recognized property management company with over 10,000 units under management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products, plus primary property management software applications.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team and drive productivity and results.
  • Excellent presentation, writing and communication skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Strong work ethic, enthusiastic, proactive, well organized, detail oriented, and mature.
  • Quality interpersonal skills with a strong desire to learn and succeed.
  • Extensive travel required throughout United States
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, self-directed, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Must maintain a professional image with clients, residents, contractors, investors and Company Principals.
