Salary: $9,776 - $12,533/month
The Deputy Director of Economic Development is responsible for assisting the Director of Economic Development with the overall management and administration of the Economic Development Department. Duties are broad in scope and allow for a high degree of administrative discretion, within professional standards and general guidelines established by the Director of Economic Development. An employee in this classification may be responsible for oversight of one or more of the department's functions, including business attraction, retention, and expansion; implementation of the Tustin Legacy Specific Plan and Pacific Center East Specific Plan; real estate activities; affordable housing; and activities related to the Successor Agency to the former Tustin Community Redevelopment Agency.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, urban planning, economics, political science or a related field; and five (5) years of professional economic development experience in the public or private sector, including at least three (3) years in a supervisory or management capacity.
