RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL:

The GWS Finance Supervisor, in accordance with company policies, procedures and sound business practices is responsible for prompt and accurate processing of transactions.  The GWS Billing, Reporting and Contract Accounting Team is committed to the highest standards of quality and requires close cooperative relationships with its customers.

 

PRINCIPLE DUTIES:

  1. Provide strong leadership supervising staff members, supporting a team environment and to guarantee accurate, prompt and efficient work flow.  Support and take responsibility for the resolution of differences/discrepancies.
  2. Participate in the selection of talented individuals, ensure proper training, monitor performance, and provide feedback to achieve continuous staff member development
  3. Act as an accounting and analytical technical resource to the team.
  4. Ensure that each staff member understands and works towards achievement of their process' service deliverables, and position roles and responsibilities by managing front end task distribution of customer requirements and requests through resource planning and service delivery tracking.
  5. Manage and monitor team measurements of cost, quality and cycle time specific to staff members and the general area of supervision, providing insights into operational effectiveness.
  6. Ability and initiative to lead complex projects including the design, implementation and continuous improvement of Financial Transactional processes to maximize customer satisfaction and EBIT
  7. Supports the processing of financial transactions and tasks independently on a wide range revenue and cost activities following US GAAP.
  8. Prepares and reviews month end journal entries to support proper revenue reporting.

9.      Supports financial and non-financial processes to ensure strong internal controls and SOX compliance.  Ability to communicate GAAP accounting principles as they relate to assigned transactions within the team and to internal customers

  1. Provide support to internal customers regarding improvement of their processes and their ability to provide accurate and timely inputs to transactional processing.
  2. Participate in the development and implementation of necessary data processing systems and revisions.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

  1. Effectively supervise a team of analysts involved in the areas of Billing, Reporting, Contract Accounting and AR Management. 
  2. Assist in the preparation of data to provide internal customers insights available through such means as statistical analysis and trend reporting.
  3. Maintain a team environment of creativity and innovation.  Encourage staff members to come up with new and changing processes resulting in improved financial and customer satisfaction performance.
  4. Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

1.      BA/BS in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance Required

  1. Minimum (5) years of Accounting experience.
  2. Familiar with US GAAP.

4.      Experience in Services Organization financials a plus.

5.      Strong working knowledge of Oracle (or similar) business system software and Microsoft office suite applications including advanced Excel and Project Accounting. 

6.      Superior analytical skills, presentation, oral and written communication skills are required.
