SUMMARY
Reporting to the Sr Director of Retail Research, the Research Analyst will provide support in developing CBRE's Americas and Global retail data and analysis.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Database management
Collect, quality check and manage the content of multiple CBRE-owned, retail-focused databases
Partner with local CBRE researchers and third-party vendors to collect data across the U.S. and Global markets
Support national retail broker requests
Provide/create data, slides, analysis
Maintain and update shared resources folder to facilitate easier sharing of content
Support with written content and analysis in presentations
Support writing of quarterly reports, MarketFlashes, major reports, Viewpoints, Trends, and other ad hoc publications
Track industry trends/news for incorporation into analysis, data collection, process improvement, presentations, etc.
Attend applicable industry conferences, broker meetings, client meetings, etc. as directed
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to co-workers. May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project.
Other duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in Real Estate, Economics, Finance, Urban Planning, Geography, or related field and a minimum of 18 months related work experience
Familiarity with Retail real estate market; a demonstrated interest in issues impacting the retail industry
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to colleagues and clients
Ability to effectively present information
Knowledge of financial and real estate terms and principles
Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions
Conducts basic financial analysis.
